- This site collects nothing about you. There are no cookies, no analytics, no advertising or conversion tags, no forms, and no accounts.
- Nothing here loads from a third party. Fonts, images, and scripts are served from clearware.co itself, so reading this page does not tell anyone else that you did.
- Our host keeps ordinary server logs. That is the one place any data about your visit exists, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
- Email us and we have your email. That is the only way this site ever learns who you are, and it only happens if you start it.
- The apps are a different story, told elsewhere. Each product has its own privacy policy covering what that app does and how it is funded.
- We do not sell your personal information.
1. Scope
Clearware, LLC develops and distributes a family of free desktop and mobile utilities. This policy explains what information the clearware.co website handles, how, and what choices you have.
It does not cover the applications themselves. Each app handles a different, limited set of data and is funded in a way that is disclosed in its own privacy policy and licence agreement. Those documents control for those products; this one controls for this website. See Section 6.

2. What this website collects
clearware.co is a static brochure. It has no login, no shopping cart, no comment section, and no form of any kind. Concretely, it does not:
- set any cookie — not a functional one, not an analytics one, not an advertising one;
- run Google Analytics, or any other website analytics or session-recording product;
- run an advertising, conversion, remarketing, or pixel tag of any kind, or store any advertising click identifier;
- ask for your name, email address, phone number, or payment details, because there is nowhere on the page to type one;
- write anything to your browser’s local storage or session storage;
- attempt to determine your precise location, or read anything from your device.
No third-party requests, either. Every font, image, icon, and script the page needs is served from clearware.co. Web fonts in particular are downloaded when the site is built and shipped from our own domain, so your browser never requests them from Google or anyone else. Loading this page does not announce your visit to a third party.
3. Server logs (our hosting provider)
Like every website, clearware.co cannot be served without your browser connecting to a server. Our hosting provider, Railway, processes the ordinary connection data that entails — your IP address, the page requested, a timestamp, your browser’s user-agent string, and any referring page — in order to deliver the site, keep it available, and defend it against abuse.
Railway acts as our service provider (a processor) for this, under its own privacy policy. We do not use these logs to build a profile of you, we do not join them to anything else, and we do not share them with advertisers. Retention follows Railway’s schedule for operational logs.
Legal basis (EEA/UK): our legitimate interest in operating and securing our own website.
4. If you email us
The site publishes hello@clearware.co. If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message, and we keep the thread so we can answer you and recognise a follow-up. That is the only circumstance in which this website results in us holding your personal information, and it takes an action by you to start it.
We use it to reply to you and nothing else. You are not subscribed to anything, not added to a mailing list, and not sent marketing as a result. We do not sell, rent, or share your message with anyone for their own purposes.
Legal basis (EEA/UK): our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence you initiated.
5. Links to other sites
This page links to our product sites and, occasionally, to other organisations. Following a link takes you to a site we do not control, governed by its own privacy policy. The presence of a link here sends nothing to that site until you click it.
6. The apps are covered elsewhere
Clearware’s applications are free, and they are funded by an opt-in bandwidth-sharing arrangement rather than by ads or by selling data. The apps also send a small amount of anonymous, switch-offable crash and usage data. None of that runs on this website — but all of it is real, and it is disclosed in full in each product’s own privacy policy and licence agreement:
Read the policy for the specific app you install. It is the document that controls for that product, and it is more detailed than anything on this page — because it has more to disclose.
7. We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioural advertising as California and similar U.S. state laws use that term. There is no mechanism on this site that could: no advertising tag, no identifier, no audience building, no remarketing.
If that ever changes, this policy changes before the change ships, not after, along with whatever opt-out the law requires at that point.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or object to the processing of your personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
Because this site collects nothing, there is usually nothing to request — the practical exception is an email you have sent us. To make a request, email hello@clearware.co with “Privacy Request” in the subject line and we will respond as required by law. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

9. Children's privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email hello@clearware.co and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our hosting and email providers may process data in the U.S. and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses — for transfers of personal data out of the EEA, the UK, or other regions with transfer restrictions.
11. Security
The strongest security measure available to a website is not to hold the data in the first place, and that is the one we rely on most: there is no database of visitors here to breach. The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we handle.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site, our practices, or the law. When a change is material we will update the effective date above and post the revised policy here before the change takes effect.
